Sharing Shed Open!

On 1st December, Whitwick St John the Baptist Primary School opened the doors of its Sharing Shed for the very first time.
The Sharing Shed is a place where the school community can look after one another, by donating food, toiletries and good quality used school uniform. Anyone from the school family can use The Sharing Shed, if they are in need of day-to-day essentials. The school’s Chaplaincy Team have been instrumental in setting the shed up and organising the stock.
Headteacher, Mrs Noon said, “Like many communities at the moment, we have families who are struggling with the cost of living. We hope that our Sharing Shed can help when people need it most. We have been thrilled with the generosity of those giving to The Sharing Shed, and we believe that the project embodies many of our school’s root values.”
The Sharing Shed building was generously donated to the school, along with some stock to get it started, by Sytner of Leicester.
