FAQs and Useful Websites

Q. Do you only take Pre-School children who will be attending Whitwick St Johns C.E. Primary school when reaching statutory school age?

No. Although the majority of our children will go to Whitwick St John, our Pre-School is open to all children in the area and we are a feeder to other local Primary schools such as New Swannington and Holy Cross.

Q. Do I have to provide a snack/drink for my child?

No. We provide a range of healthy snacks including fresh and dried fruit as well as milk, juice and fresh drinking water.

Q. Does my child have to be completely toilet trained and ‘dry’ before they attend?

No they don’t. We encourage all children in their ‘self-care’ and will work hand in hand with parents when the child is ready. Parents are asked to provide a named bag containing pull-ups, wipes and nappy bags, as well as a change of clothes for their child.

Q. When will my child become funded?

The term AFTER their 3rd birthday. Please refer to the table under the heading ‘Parents Entitlement of Funding’ for more detailed information.
