Residential Visits

The school has a history dating back to the late 60's of taking part in residential visits and we currently arrange visits for Year 2, 4 and 6.

Year 6 visit Min-Y-Don for a week, a Christian run centre situated on the Mawdach Estuary near Fairbourne. Accommodation is in dormitories, food is plentiful and good, staff are well qualified and helpful. Activities, which include rock climbing, kayaking, abseiling and archery, are designed to challenge and stretch. An important element of the visit is the opportunity to work as part of a team and build links with other members of the year group, something which proves valuable for the challenges of Year 6.

Year 4 visit Condover Hall for 3 nights. The activities will be different to those experienced at Beaumanor or Min y Don they include: Climbing, Abseiling, High See Saw, Raft Building, Rocket Launching…the list is endless!

Year 2 visit Beaumanor Hall for 2 nights, a residential activity centre in Woodhouse Eaves. There the children take part in various activities led by trained staff, pond dipping, den building, rocket making and exploring minibeasts, generally enjoying the outdoors.
