Headteacher's Welcome

Headteacher's Welcome

Mrs Noon (Headteacher)

Whitwick St John the Baptist CE Primary School is a brilliant place to teach and learn.

“Staff work closely together, sharing expertise and learning from each other, to ensure that pupils are taught well and cared for. Staff told me that they feel proud to work at your school and want all pupils to achieve their potential.” (Ofsted, June 2018).

Our whole school vision is 'Grow, Achieve, Bloom, Repeat'. It is based on the Parable of the Sower. This vision underpins everything that we do and drives us to provide a curriculum that is exciting and varied for all of our children and ensures that school is a place where children grow, achieve and bloom, from our Penguin Pre-School to Year 6.  Our 'Root Christian Values' form the basis of our ethos which is one of trust, friendship and mutual respect.

The children are a credit to our school and often receive positive comments about their excellent behaviour and exemplary manners from visitors and when out on visits.

We understand that children gain the most from their education when school and families work in partnership. We warmly invite parents, grandparents and other family members into school on a regular basis.

We work very closely with groups of local schools – 'The Collaborative Partnership', 'The Coalville Family of Schools' and 'Forest Way Alliance', which means that our children have opportunities to meet other children from different schools and take part in many sporting events, both competitive and non-competitive.

The children, staff, governors and parents are very proud of our school and welcome visitors to have a look at the school. If you have any questions or would like to tour the school, please contact the office who will be happy to help.
