Facilities and Gallery
Facilities
The main school was built in the 1954 and extended in 1991.
The building and grounds are maintained by our Premises Officer. As a school, we are very passionate about continuing to regularly develop the school to offer bright, well-equipped classrooms and excellent facilities for the children.

Fourteen Classrooms
Our classrooms are spacious and offer a bright and engaging space for the children to learn. The two Year 6 classrooms are located in a mobile building.
Large Hall
Our school hall is a large open space where we hold whole school assemblies; P.E lessons take place; and the children eat lunch in.
Library
Our Library is well-stocked and organised by our designated Librarian. The child have access to it each week.

We have a well-equipped Music studio that doubles up as a base for our Breakfast and After-School Club.
Children’s Kitchen
Our purpose built children’s kitchen provides the children with opportunities to cook in small groups throughout their time in school.
School Kitchen
All of the school dinners are made on site in our own kitchen and served from our attractive serving hatch.
Communal Areas
Our Communal areas are decorated to give a welcoming and vibrant feel to the school including our ‘Story-Telling Corridor’ and ‘Space Corridor’.
Outdoors
Woodlands / ‘Forest Schools’ Area
We are extremely fortunate to be blessed with our own extensive forest area where children complete Science lesson and ‘Forest Schools’ activities.
Adventure Playground
We have a large adventure playground that was built in April 2020 which is used by all year groups regularly.
Ball Court
Our Ball Court allows high-quality P.E lessons and opportunities for children to be active during break time and lunch time. It is fitted with mini-soccer goals, netball posts and basketball hoops.
Front / Back Playground
We have two large playgrounds that are used at break time and lunch time, along with P.E lessons.
Field
We use the large field opposite to the school for P.E and sport days. The field is owned and maintained by Whitwick Parish Council.
Pond
Our pond supports natural wildlife around the school grounds and also is used for Science lessons.
Garden
Our purpose built garden allows the children to experience gardening and is often used by our nurture groups.
