Special Educational Needs In School

Note from school SENCo:

At the start of the 2016/17 academic year, I became the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator) and year 2 class teacher at Whitwick St John the Baptist. I have been teaching for 14 years and I have taught in a number of different schools. I have taught all year groups from Reception to Year 6 and co-ordinated a number of different subjects, including the SENCo role throughout various schools.

My specialist area of interest is in Speech and Language, and how this feeds into all other aspects of school and daily life. My key aims are to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, their teachers and families to ensure that all children can achieve their true potential.

I am passionate about achieving success for Whitwick and I am proud to be a member of such a fantastic team!

You are very welcome to contact me to discuss your child’s SEND requirements via the school office on: 01530 832116.
